Hello, I'm Clare
Originally from North London, I’ve called Bristol home since 2018—though my love for the city began during my student days in the late 1990s. I now live in Horfield with my partner Andrew and our dog, Sam.
I’ve always found satisfaction in creating calm and order. As a child, I preferred rearranging my Sindy doll’s house to imaginative play, and I still remember the joy of organising the cupboard under the stairs one winter bank holiday! My parents were naturally tidy, and my mum in particular was a capable organiser—traits I seem to have inherited.
My career has taken me through varied roles that all relied on empathy and organisation—from Marketing Campaign and Project Manager roles during 18 years at John Lewis, to senior delivery roles in the finance and tech sectors. I’ve always been drawn to work that involves understanding people, solving problems, and bringing order to complexity.

Personal experiences have also shaped my path. I lost both of my parents to dementia in recent years, and as an only child I managed my mum’s care and later, the process of clearing their home. My dad was a passionate collector, so I know firsthand the emotion tied to belongings. Volunteering with a local bereavement group deepened my compassion for others going through life transitions.
After being made redundant from my last role, I took time to reflect—and realised that the part of life that consistently brought me satisfaction was helping people declutter, organise, and make sense of their homes and spaces. That’s what led me to create All in Order. I believe our homes should feel like sanctuaries. When things are in order, we can move through life with more ease and have more time for what we enjoy.
I'm a proud member of the Association of Professional Declutterers & Organisers (APDO) and have completed several of their training courses.
